About Ms. Lee
Welcome to Room 107!
Welcome to an exciting year in Room 107! My name is Ms. Lee and I will be your child’s 2nd grade teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. I graduated from Columbia College in May 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Fine & Performing Arts. I then went on to receive my Masters degree in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction from Chicago State University in 2016. I am currently pursuing a second Masters in Specialized Endorsements (ESL, and Special Education) from National Louis University. I am so excited to be back with the Shoesmith family for my second year with 2nd grade! I am originally from Chicago and was born and raised in Hyde Park. It is wonderful to be back in my childhood neighborhood as a Shoesmith staff member. I love working with children and have spent ten years as a preschool teacher, and five years working with grade school students in a performing arts program before landing in 2nd grade. Outside of school, I love to cook, participate in music and theatre, as well as traveling and spending time with my 8 year old son, family and friends. I look forward to getting to know all of you and working together to help your child grow throughout the year. We have a great year ahead of us filled with projects, interesting subject matter, field trips, and much more! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I also encourage you to check out our classroom website at http://msleesecondgrade.weebly.com Here you will find useful information about what your child is doing in our class throughout the year. I look forward to the fantastic year of learning and fun that lies ahead! Sincerely, Ms. Lee [email protected] |
